Heck I can't keep up with one now. I have been so busy with work I just don't have the time. I soooooo want to share with you what I have been up to. It's Snowing

Yep! It's snowing here in Maine! I'm soooo not ready for it. Josh can't wait to get out in it.

I'm sorry I haven't been writing to much lately. I have been so busy getting ready for a craft fair and working on items for Etsy, and working on friends projects....plus working my day job. I'm finding there isn't enough hours in day to get somethings done.

Josh is doing very well in school. So I'm very happy about that. This year he is doing so much better staying on task. We went shopping today at a flea market and I was very impressed on how he talked to the vendors. He seemed like a grown up. Like I said there's just not in enough time in a day. Days go by so fast and to see my son grow up soooo fast brakes my heart. He is growing into a great young man.

I hope to post some pictures of the snow if it's still there in the morning.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED

I really hate to post the same story on both blogs but I need to make sure everyone is thanked and everyone knows!
I want to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who helped me and my family out with the donations cans and bottles and with the sells from the Breast Cancer Necklaces on my Etsy site that were sold for Cans For A Cure! Our total was $156.00!!!! We didn't make it to our last years total but still very happy with what we able to give them.

I also gave the 3 people who do the radio show Breast Cancer Trees Of Life! They seemed to love them. As we drove way we heard them on the radio thank us and they also gave out my site name on air!! That made me smile!

So THANK YOU again for all your help everyone it means a lot to us!

Yard Sale Find

John and I went to some yard sales on Saturday. John found more shelves for me to refinish and sell!! We also found a beautiful fish plate that came from Greece! The wonderful woman selling it said so was there and brought it home with her. She was so sweet when she was talking to John and I. She called us newlyweds!! We have been married now for over 8 years. So many people tell us that we are a cute couple. I love it!! Sure puts a smile on my face. Anywho... here is the plate!!

We also got a mirror that I have always wanted!! One that is dark wood and a thick frame. I put them both in the kitchen. I love getting new things, the part I hate is every time I get something new I have to redo the whole room its going in. I have been getting rid of things that have no meaning to us and that just take up space. I want to have to clean around less.

It's so hard

I'm finding it to be so hard keeping up with two blogs. I'm thinking of just going to one and writing about family and crafts on the one. What do you think? I don't want to lose what little people I have :O(

I'm In A Happy Place!!!

So Much Going On!

There has been so much going on that it leaves me little or not time to write on my blogs. When I'm on my computer it to check email, Facebook and then to post new items in my shop on www.Etsy.com/shop/poiriers My computer has been sooooooo slow by the time I'm done doing that my laptop is soooo hot I need to turn it off. I'm on Johns right now shhhhhh... I don't want him to know because he will want to use it.

I have been very busy at work painting the outsides of house and buildings. With the good weather we have to get out there before it gets to cold. On the rain days we work inside at the shop or inside house painting. When I get home I work on jewelry orders. Yep I said orders. I have been good, but wish it was more Trees Of Life. I also might be painting clip boards like the one on my site, 35 of them!!!! The deal is not set yet I will find out in a few days! I will write all about it then.

We have also been getting cans and bottles for Cans For A Cure. Not doing so well this year. I keep posting on Facebook but now that it has changed I don't think people see it anymore. I like the way it used to be. I really hope they change it back.

John, Josh, and I are doing great. I know I really need to work on my blog more. I really miss sharing my pictures.

Can's For A Cure 2011!!!

It's that time a year again!! We need your help in raising money for Cans For A Cure! Can and bottle or even cash will be great. I post on my Facebook page where we are at with money. I want all to know that we take the cans and bottle to be changed into cash and save up then take the money to Q97.9 when they do Cans For A Cure. The reason we do this is because we get soooo many cans and bottles that they don't fit in my van anymore. That is why I let everyone know when we total every time we get cans, bottle and cash on my blog and Facebook.

I have had more then one person ask don't you take part of what you get for yourself? I guess there are people out there who would do that......but we are not like that. This is something we do as a family that makes us feel really good inside knowing we are helping other out. That is way better then taking the money for ourselves.

It's Been To Long

I don't know what it is lately about me blogging. I have been doing so many things and I keep saying I'm going to set a time to sit down and blog. So here I am with a headache and don't feel like doing anything but take a nap. Only Josh has two of his friends over now and I can't.

Well the things that have been happening since Josh's 13th birthday party are...

John and I went to Mass. to see his friends from school from 1984! I got to meet so many cool people that I can't wait to see again. I wish we lived closer to them. John had so much fun talking with everyone. They are going to try to plan a once a year get together. I really hope that works out because we really enjoyed our time there with everyone.

I found some mold in the basement. So I cleaned everything that I could get my hands on with bleach. After 3 long days of doing that I have not been feeling good. I guess I took in too much bleach, but hey my basement is clean lol.

We had 13 big rocks put on the side of our driveway and along the front of the yard. The ones on the side of the driveway were put there because the people next door and their friends seem to think cutting across our driveway to get to their is ok. It is digging our driveway up. Their driveway looks like a path you would see going up the side of a mountain, with a pond at the end of it. I really don't want that to happen to ours.

We had to babysit a guinea pig for a few days. We were helping a friend out that was given two rabbits and the guinea pig came with them.....that wasn't supposed happen and he had no where to put the pig. So we helped out my babysitting it until he found a home for him. I fell in love with the little guy. I would have loved to keep him, but Sadie saw him more like a snack then a friend. So it wouldn't be right to keep him knowing at some point Sadie would hurt him. So we found him a home with a coworker. His family is taking very good care of him. So that makes me happy.

I have been visiting a loved one who has been in the hospital for a few days now. They are going to be ok but still I worry about them. I just can't wait for them to be safe at home with their family.

We have been getting Josh ready for school. That is one thing I hate doing because Josh is no fun to shop with when it comes to buying clothes. I will have to say its cool that he doesn't care if he gets new clothes or not. Saves money but he has to get new stuff it's just what you do. lol

I have been doing a lot of side work for people. I love it only there is so much to do at the house sometimes I get a little overwhelmed. Just when I have a plan mold jumps in or bad weather like what is going to be coming Sunday here in Maine. So this morning all I did was clean up the basement to make room for stuff that is outside that might get blown away for broke. So that cut into my cleaning time, which means that cleaning time will cut into my jewelry fixing and make time. You know how that snowball rolls.

Well I guess that all for now. I need to go clean the house. Hope everyone is safe and ready for the storm that is coming and for those of you who are not in it's path....pray for those who are.

It's Been

Josh's 13th Birthday

Yep my son is a teenager!! That makes me old now. I can't believe how fast time goes by. Just seems like his was 3 years old.

He had a great party he said. He got the bike he has been asking for!! I mean he was asking for this bike for months!!

He had no idea about this gift!!!

Just look at his face!!! LOVE IT!!! I just hope he know how much we love him.

Great Time With Great Friends

Here are Charity, Jess and I hanging out for the night. Jess was in Maine from California for a little while. We all went to school together. It was so much fun. I wish she could have stayed longer.

I have been so busy with my day job and I picked up a summer Sat job too. On top of doing the jewelry and painting furniture. I have been also working over time at my job so I don't have a lot of time to blog. I just wanted everyone to know that I'm rocking and will try to get back to blogging because I really miss it. So many things to share!

4th Of July

What a fun weekend I have had. It started off with seeing a long time friend Jess from High School. She is in Maine from California on Sat! Not the best picture of me. lol Jess looks great!

Lucy was loving the water at the lake at my brother's BBQ. What's funny about his BBQ's is years ago it was a bunch of grown up drinking and having a blast! Now it's kids, kids, and more kids with no drinking and everyone having a blast!!

After a looooong while Stretch jumped in. It takes him forever. He needs to know it's safe so seeing Buddy and Sadie having so much fun he took the plunge.

Poor little Sweat-Pea couldn't go in the water!! She has a booboo (broken leg).

Garden Birds

Here are my day lilies. They are almost to the rail. Here is the start of a Cosmo!! I started these from seeds.

Here are the Cosmos I got from the store.....just in case the seeds did work out.

Here is a flower hehehe I'm not 100% sure what kind this is. I don't think its a sunflower, the leafs are more like black eye susans.

Another one from Tom and nope don't know what it is. Now that I have the pictures I will look them up. Would me nice to know what's in my own garden. lol

OK so we put bird feeds in our gardens this year and the birds are coming. I love it!! I get to set in the living room and see them right out the window, well that if fat cat Ellie isn't in the window!! The feeders are about a foot way from the window. I wasn't sure if the birds would come to it but they do. The birds I found out today are very picking eaters. I went out to fill the half empty feeder. I looked to see where I should step in the garden so I wouldn't step on a plant and to my surprise I found out where all the seeds have gone!!! Right down into my birdbath that has a hole in the bottom. I was using it to catch the shells of the seeds but I guess it was catching everything because now I have sunflowers growing in it and all around it.

I try to take out all the good seeds and put them in the yard (if you can call it that) and driveway for the other birds we have. They were very happy today. See.....

Birthday Weekend

Birthday Weekend as if I made it my weekend! lol I just had fun from Friday after work until Sunday hmmmm until now really and the nights not over!!! wink wink.

My Birthday Weekend as I'm calling it, Started at Jen and Ric's house. They had me over after work for some drinks.....and drink a little we did! We had just the right amount to have fun and maybe make fun of ourselves a little later. lol

Saturday John and I went to Tucker and Bethany barn party. It rained but that didn't stop us from having fun. I got to meet a ton of new and great people. I learned a lot about their horses which I'm soon hoping to ride. They are the sweets horse I have ever met. Her chicken I got to pick up and hold. Yep I'm a country girl and wish I could have a farm. I guess I just have to go up there more. Tucker had another great meal cooked in the ground.

The rain couldn't stop a good time!! We just worked with it!!! :O)

Sunday I got to sleep in.......thank you John and Josh for being mice!!! We went to Emily's Piano Recital.
Then after that we went to Young's Green House...my favorite for flowers in the spring. I picked up Cosmos for my Harris Garden. That's what I'm calling my newest garden I made. So now I have the Sweetser Garden , named for Tom Sweetser who gave me most of my flowers from his land. That one is the big one right now. Then the Bird Garden, named because that's where the bird feeder is and now I have a ton of sunflowers starting. The Harris Garden because of a dear friend of mine Jackie Harris. We are going to grow Cosmos in our gardens together. Jackie doesn't live in Maine but we thought it would be fun to grow the same plant and see how we do. So now I'm naming that garden after her. This is the Harris Garden.

John went out to pick up pizza for dinner because that one of my faves. He also got flowers for me.

Tomorrow should be our last day if everything goes as planned. I'm going to miss the little chipmunks that were running around us the whole time we were working. They would even jump into the pool. We saved the first one until we found out they were going in there to cool off and had a way to get out on their own. Too cute.

This is a project that I'm doing at home for my brother. He has 4 stools that need to be reglued.
